Registration

Registration for the 44th ISTS Symposium will open on 01 October 2025. Early bird registration, which is a reduced price compared to normal registration, will close on the same day as abstract submissions. After that day (exact day currently pending),  registration fees are the regular price and abstracts are no longer accepted.

Registration Fees

Registration (USD)

  • Early Bird Fee: $500

    Regular Fee: $540

    This category includes all registrants that make more than $50K annually, regardless of student status of country of origin.

  • Early Bird Fee: $260

    Regular Fee: $310

    This category is for non-PIR (Pacific Islands Region) nationals that are considered low income or students. Low income is defined as someone making less than $50K annually.

    A Student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognized tertiary or secondary educational institution or a holder of an international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate. A copy of your student identification card must be uploaded as a PDF document at time of registration. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

  • Early Bird Fee: $110

    Regular Fee: $160

    Registrants born in nations of the Pacific Islands Region (PIR) that qualify as Low income (<$50K annually) can register at this price. A copy of your national identification card must be uploaded as a PDF document at time of registration. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

    One single day may be selected only. If attending for more than a day, then the full registration rate must be selected.

  • For-profit Entities: $100

    Non-profit Entities: $400

    All exhibitor/vendor booth representatives must register for the symposium. We invite companies, NGOs, universities, and governmental agencies to host an exhibitor table. Visit the Exhibitor/Vendor page for information and to sign-up (you also have the option of adding a vendor table when registering as a participant).

Events + Items (USD)

  • Workshops/Regional Meetings: $15/event ($8 for PIR nationals)

  • Welcome Social: High Income: $40 or Low Income/Students/PIR nationals: $30.

  • Farewell Banquet: High Income: $80 or Low Income/Students/PIR nationals: $50

  • 44th ISTS Symposium Merchandise: Varies by item

  • Note that at-door purchases for any available remaining tickets will be charged at high income prices.

Using the ISTS Member Code for Reduced Fees:

Once registration opens, current members of the International Sea Turtle Society (ISTS) can access a reduced fee for the 44th ISTS Symposium by entering a unique member code when registering. The code can be accessed via the Membership Portal of the ISTS website. Note that if your ISTS membership has expired, you will need to login and renew it to view the code (select 'Account > Renew Your Membership'). Please email us if you encounter any issues.

Anyone can become a member of the ISTS and you can sign up annually for as low as USD$30. If you would like to become a member and get the reduced 44th ISTS Symposium registration rate, please sign up via the ISTS website prior to registering.

Please note that registering for 44th ISTS Symposium is a completely separate process from signing up to be a Society member.

What’s included in your 44th ISTS Symposium registration?

Regular registrations include the following:

  • Entry to all oral sessions

  • Entry to poster/exhibitor area

  • Delegate name badge

  • Delegate pack

  • Attendance at all social functions with the exception of ticketed events (Welcome Social and Farewell Banquet)

  • Any provided food or coffee breaks

Day registrations include the following:

  • Entry to sessions on the day registered

  • Entry to poster/exhibitors area on the day registered

  • Delegate name badge

  • Any provided food or coffee breaks on the day registered

*ISTS will provide two coffee breaks daily (mid-morning and mid-afternoon) with light finger foods. Please note that no meals (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) are provided by ISTS or included in hotel room rates. Delegates should plan accordingly for their main meals.

Cancellations and Refunds

A cancellation form will be available in the event that you need to request a refund. Refunds can be issued for the full amount paid, less 10% administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after January 2026. Please note that registration costs and abstract submissions are non-transferable and membership costs for the International Sea Turtle Society are not refundable.
