Abstracts

Abstract submission for oral and poster presentations for the 44th ISTS Symposium is now closed. the Session Chairs are currently evaluating submissions and decisions on if abstracts qualified for oral or poster presentations will be announced in December 2025.

Formatting & Submission Guidelines

  • Each individual, whether listed as lead or co-author, may serve as the presenting author (name in bold on the abstract) on a maximum of two abstracts. Of these, only one may be an oral presentation; the second must be a poster presentation.

  • Abstracts should be written in English.

  • Abstracts can be no longer than 500 words. Note that on the submission form, there is a separate section for providing any necessary acknowledgments.

  • The submitting author must select the session topic (see descriptions below) that best fits their abstract. If authors are still unsure after reading the session topic descriptions below, they can select 'Unsure' on the list of options.

  • The submitting author must select their presentation preference from the options of 1) oral presentation, 2) poster presentation, or 3) no presentation preference.

  • If eligible, submitting authors can nominate themselves and their work for the Archie Carr Student Award and/or Grassroots Conservation Award (see here for further information on who qualifies for these awards).
